Foxes

The urban Fox is a common pest. Many of us hear their howls in the night and it is common to find our bins overturned with rubbish dragged out and scattered across backyards and gardens – all carried out by foxes in the search of food. The fox is a smart and versatile animal with the ability to adapt to the various elements which the urban environment presents.

Fox Control Glasgow

Although foxes do carry diseases and bacteria due to their travels in unhygienic areas such as bins and waste areas – they are not as much of a threat to our health in this respect as a pest like a rat would be, as the fox is not living in our home or spreading its germs upon areas we interact with regularly. Foxes are more of a nuisance and can be difficult to discourage and get rid of and can end up costing you time and money by damaging property and land.

Fox Treatment

Often the main course of action for getting rid of a fox is prevention rather than termination. We are experienced and fully qualified in dealing with a variety of fox infestations – even if it is just one fox or an entire family, living near or within your property and grounds, get in touch and we will assess and advise the best methods of fox prevention or carry out pest control measures for you. Due to foxes becoming more and more common in urban areas there has been an increase in them being less deterred by the presence of people and it has been known for foxes to attack pets such as cats or dogs – not only endangering the life and wellbeing of your beloved family pet but leading to all sorts of vet bills and treatments that could be avoided if you let JWL Pest Control deal with the problem for you. Foxes can also put building structures at risk by digging tunnels in the ground making it structurally unsound and weak – leading to sheds, garages and outbuildings becoming unsafe and potentially collapsing.
